Mickie James can prove to be a worthy opponent for the WWE SmackDown Women's Champion, Bayley

WWE has brilliantly set up a future breakup storyline between the reigning SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley and her best friend, Sasha Banks. Earlier, the reports suggested that the creative team had planned this match for WrestleMania 36, but then delayed it until WWE SummerSlam 2020.

It seems like WWE wants to book the breakup segment in front of a jam-packed arena. Hence, they have been holding the inevitable feud. Since Bayley has been extremely dominant on the Blue brand, WWE would want to book her in a grand match at the Biggest Party of Summer.

She has defended her title against almost every female Superstar present on the Blue brand, but Mickie James can return to SmackDown after Extreme Rules and confront Bayley, thereby setting up a massive match-up for WWE SummerSlam.

While Mickie James would not dethrone Bayley as the champion, she could deepen the cracks between the two best friends like Charlotte Flair. Also, since Mickie James is a six-time Women's Champion, defeating her at SummerSlam could raise Bayley's stocks substantially.
