Could the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions be set to face off at SummerSlam?

Originally, SummerSlam 2020 was scheduled to emanate from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. However, due to the ongoing worldwide pandemic, SummerSlam has been moved from the TD Garden to the WWE Performance Center.

Boston, Massachusetts is the hometown of Sasha Banks. The Boss is currently one half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions with her best friend, the Smackdown Women's Champion, Bayley.

Since returning to WWE the night after SummerSlam last year on Monday Night Raw, Sasha Banks and Bayley have been inseparable. The Golden Role Models have run roughshod over Smackdown and the entire WWE.

However, there have been subtle teases that the friendship between Smackdown Women's Champion Bayley and Sasha Banks could be soon to end in the near future.

Bayley has volunteered Sasha Banks for matches when The Boss wasn't prepared and Sasha Banks has also volunteered Bayley for matches when The Role Model wasn't prepared. Many of the WWE Universe have also caught Sasha Banks staring at Bayley's Smackdown Women's Championship on several occasions.

The Smackdown Women's Championship is the only championship that Sasha Banks hasn't held yet in WWE. As SummerSlam was originally scheduled to take place in Sasha Banks' hometown, many assumed we would finally see the Sasha Banks vs Bayley showdown at the biggest event of the summer.

Now that SummerSlam has been moved to the WWE Performance Center, plans may have changed. Although, many fans are still hopeful that we will see The Boss and The Role Model finally collide at SummerSlam on August 23, 2020.
