SummerSlam could see the WWE Champion go head to head with the Legend Killer

Traditionally, SummerSlam has seen some of the biggest WWE Championship matches in SummerSlam history. SummerSlam 2020 will be no different.

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has been unstoppable since defeating Brock Lesnar to become the WWE Champion at WrestleMania 36 in April. The Scottish Psychopath has yet to be pinned or submitted since 2019. Therefore, many members of the WWE Universe are questioning if there is anyone on the WWE roster that could pose a threat to Drew McIntyre and his WWE Championship?

Step in Randy Orton. The Viper has had a 2020 every bit as good and successful as Drew McIntyre so far. Ever since Randy Orton turned his back and viciously attacked his former tag team partner Edge in January, The Viper has been on a roll.

During the year of 2020 so far, Randy Orton wrote Matt Hardy off of WWE television, won the "Greatest Wrestling Match Ever" at Backlash, where he punted Edge in the skull, kicked Christian in the head during Captain Charisma's "one more match" and followed that by punting The Big Show this week on Monday Night Raw as well.

In addition to this, Randy Orton has once again aligned himself with WWE Hall of Famer "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. This has led to Randy Orton once again dubbing himself as "The Legend Killer".

With Randy Orton as the biggest heel on Raw right now, it only makes sense for The Legend Killer to go up against the biggest babyface on Raw, that being the WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, at SummerSlam.

A showdown between The Legend Killer and The Scottish Psychopath for the greatest prize in WWE is a SummerSlam worthy main event and matchup that everyone in the WWE Universe wants to see.
