#4 Current WWE Intercontinental Champion King Nakamura
WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura is dubbed "The King of Strong Style" by many within the WWE Universe.
Nakamura is currently in his second reign as Intercontinental Champion after defeating Apollo Crews for the title several weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown.
But Nakamura isn't the only WWE Superstar who knows a thing or two about the strong style of wrestling.
Whilst strong style is widely associated with Japanese wrestling, there is also a version of wrestling known as British strong style. Pete Dunne certainly brings a technical, physical, and hard-hitting British strong style to every match that he performs in.
Nakamura vs. Dunne would certainly be a fascinating watch.
#3 Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles
AJ Styles is one of the most respected and admired WWE Superstars competing today.
There is little that The Phenomenal One hasn't achieved in his career. By capturing the RAW Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 37 earlier this year, AJ Styles became a WWE Grand Slam Champion.
Whilst Styles and Omos recently dropped the RAW Tag Team Titles to RK-Bro at SummerSlam, The Phenomenal One is still competing with the giant superstar as his tag team partner.
At 44 years old, Styles is arguably in the latter stages of his WWE career. Upon signing a five-year contract with the WWE in 2019, he revealed his intention to retire as an in-ring competitor at the end of his deal.
This would suggest that Styles only has a few more years as an active wrestler. As such, it would be in WWE's best interest to use The Phenomenal One as an experienced wrestler to help elevate younger stars to the next level.
One such example could be Pete Dunne. The Bruiserweight and The Phenomenal One would certainly have spectacular matches, with Styles assisting Dunne to become a big star on the WWE main roster.
