After Kevin Owens defeated Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 36, WWE Universe was expecting him to get a massive push, with many even speculating him to challenge the WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre at some point. That has not been the case thus far, but Owens has been involved in the Mysterio-Rollins storyline instead.

Kevin Owens is arguably one of the biggest babyfaces on Monday Night RAW, and with their history together, it makes complete sense for him to team up with Dominik if Rey Mysterio leaves WWE. Kevin Owens' recent appearances on RAW suggest that WWE probably doesn't have any plans for him, which makes it even more likely for them to pair him up with Dominik Mysterio.

With SummerSlam being Dominik's debut match for WWE, he could learn so much from Kevin Owens, who is a veteran in the pro-wrestling industry with two decades of experience in various promotions. Such a pairing also gives WWE an opportunity to later break them apart and have an interesting feud between Kevin Owens and Dominik.
