#2 Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross split up
Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross proved to have the best WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship reign since the title’s inception.
The two Superstars took to the ring on Sunday to defend their titles against The Kabuki Warriors, but lost their Championships after Asuka sprayed green mist onto Cross’ face.
The next WWE Draft is coming up this week, and we could see many Superstars switch brands. This could lead to several teams splitting up.
With this Sunday’s result, it seems likely that the company may have planned to split Bliss and Cross, as they lost the title in a match that received no build at all. The move could result in Bliss heading back into the championship picture and battling either Becky Lynch on RAW, or Charlotte Flair on SmackDown. Bliss was protected during her team’s loss at Hell in a Cell, and this could indicate a different direction for her.
As for Cross, she could be the one who switches brands to get her first major singles push, thanks in no small part to her pairing with Alexa Bliss.
