The sudden nature of his retirement was evident, with the 11-time world champion's final reign coming to an abrupt end. He vowed to win the Royal Rumble Match and take back the world title at WrestleMania.

As a certified main event megastar and former Royal Rumble winner, Edge does have a chance of winning the 30-man melee. It wouldn't be the most unpopular move WWE makes. While a battle of the spears with Roman Reigns would be extremely fun, The Tribal Chief has too much else happening on SmackDown.
