The go-home episode of WWE SmackDown before Survivor Series was filled with a lot of twists. While the twists happened in both gender divisions, the surprise in the women's division was already expected.
The heel turn by Daniel Bryan was not expected, especially when he was about to team up with his biggest rival, The Miz, to create the most 'awesome' team for SmackDown at Survivor Series.
The show left the WWE Universe talking, and shocked the members of the Yes Movement. The fans have cheered him for his entire career, as he has played a babyface since his NXT days, but this is the first time the babyface wrestler has turned heel.
This confirms that we will see a different side to the much loved wrestler now, and with the brand-vs-brand match just days away, speculations are rife on how Daniel Bryan will perform during his match.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
His character was over with the fans as a babyface, and now we are still trying to figure out which move he will apply on 'The Beast Incarnate' to win at Survivor Series this Sunday.
With brand value on the line, and a new character still trying to make his way, here are 5 ways this match could go down at Survivor Series.
#1 A low blow to win
AJ Styles lost his WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan after the latter hit the former with a low-blow and captured the title.
The wrestler is an accomplished performer in the WWE, and he could use the same move to make the blue brand get the win during the brand-vs-brand match.
Brock Lesnar is 'The Beast Incarnate,' and there's no other way to make him go down for the pin. This move will not only cement his character, but it would also make his brand win the match this Sunday.
#2 Shane McMahon helps Daniel Bryan win
Shane McMahon is the commissioner of SmackDown, and he tried everything in his power to make his brand the superior one at WWE Crown Jewel.
With another brand-vs-brand feud underway at Survivor Series, we may see Shane McMahon come to Daniel Bryan's aid when the latter would either be down or might be about to lose to 'The Beast Incarnate'.
Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan were the commissioner and general manager of the blue brand before Daniel Bryan was cleared to be an in-ring competitor, and he moved out of the authoritative role to fulfill his in-ring duties.
Despite being in different roles, the two WWE employees share a lot of respect for each other, and we may see that come into play during this match at the brand-vs-brand show. This would also start a new storyline which would be great on Tuesday nights.
#3 Paul Heyman costs Brock Lesnar the match
Paul Heyman is the best manager/advocate in the WWE. He has been alongside 'The Beast Incarnate' Brock Lesnar since his initial days in 2002. The wrestler has taken down opponents inside the ring while his advocate has taken down his opponents on the mic.
We have seen 'The Humble Advocate' take down his current client's opponents in more ways than one, but he has also betrayed his clients in the past. We did see him betray CM Punk during a championship match, and what transpired was a wonderful storyline.
As Brock Lesnar is rumored to be off to UFC soon, the WWE could start that storyline where Paul Heyman costs Brock Lesnar the match, and this helps Lesnar take some time off before preparing for his match at UFC. This also sets up a storyline for his return, and there would be a great pop when he returns after his match in UFC.
#4 Samoa Joe helps Daniel Bryan win
Samoa Joe has played a great heel since being a part of the storyline with AJ Styles. The segment and storyline went a bit too far when Samoa Joe entered 'The Phenomenal' wrestler's home and created a compelling as well as a negative moment on Tuesday night.
As 'The Destroyer' is focused on the WWE Championship, it is a possibility that he may interfere in the outcome of this match, and ensure that Daniel Bryan wins for the brand. After the win, Samoa Joe could go to 'The Beard', telling the WWE Champion he is waiting for him on Tuesday night.
This would be the start of something amazing down the line, as Joe versus Bryan would have fan appreciation and excitement. It would also elevate the overall situation around the WWE Championship.
A good promo between them could lead to a match at WWE TLC, which happens on December 16, 2018.
#5 Braun Strowman costs Brock Lesnar the win
Braun Strowman is due for a Universal Championship opportunity after Baron Corbin cost him the opportunity at WWE Crown Jewel. Stephanie McMahon has already agreed that 'The Monster Among Men' will get his Universal Championship opportunity after Survivor Series, and Braun Strowman plays a pivotal role in making Team Raw victorious during the brand versus brand show.
After the match is done, and Team Raw wins the brand match, Braun Strowman could walk into Stephanie McMahon's office demanding a match on Raw the next day. After WWE's Chief Brand Officer denies the opportunity, Braun Strowman would fume about a promise not kept by the top official.
In an attempt to make things worse for Brock Lesnar and Raw, the Money in the Bank winner could walk down the ramp and cost 'The Beast Incarnate' the match. This would anger Brock Lesnar and Stephanie McMahon at the same time, while it would make Braun Strowman happy.
On Monday night, he could explain his actions, and demand a match for the Universal Championship, which would be a 'Best For Business' promo.
