One of the matches in the evening will feature a triple-threat match between the United States Champion AJ Styles (RAW), the Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura (SmackDown), and the NXT North American Champion Roderick Strong.
All the three Champions have allies to fall back on and will head into the match with an intention to pick up a win for their respective brands.

#5 Shinsuke Nakamura wins clean
It’s been a while since WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura picked a monumental win. A victory for the King of Strong Style will be huge for his title reign that has barely seen a serious challenge.
Given the recent run of AJ Styles and Roderick Strong, it will indeed be shocking to see Nakamura outlast both his opponents. Both Styles and Strong pose an additional threat to their rivals as they have dependable allies in The OC and the Undisputed Era respectively.
Although Nakamura has Sami Zayn in his corner, he can easily be outnumbered if he tries to interfere in the match. However, he can still help Nakamura by creating a much-needed distraction while allowing Nakamura to pick a clean win. Zayn might end up attacking Styles whereas the IC Champion could pin Strong to win the match for the Blue brand.
#4 AJ Styles wins after The OC interfere
AJ Styles has practically led the entire RAW division during the ongoing invasion angle. Now that he is set to go up against two champions in the battle for brand supremacy, it can be expected that the ‘Best Tag Team in the World’ would like to see him come home with the win.
We know that Shinsuke Nakamura will be accompanied by Sami Zayn who often plays a crucial role in facilitating an easy bout for the Intercontinental Champion. The only difference in his gameplay is the fact that he is exceptionally smart in spotting the correct moment to interfere. Obviously, he will look to do the same at Survivor Series.
This will likely eventually prompt Anderson and Gallows to walk out and make the fight more balanced. Seeing The OC out there could then force Undisputed Era to come out to provide backup for Strong in the match. As a result, a brawl might break out that would then make the referee send all these Superstars backstage.
However, all of this might end up allowing AJ Styles the much-needed time to prepare for Phenomenal Forearm and Styles Clash to bag a win for the Red brand.
#3 Roderick Strong wins clean
The one thing that’s common in each Survivor Series match is the fact that all NXT Superstars will head into the PPV as the ultimate underdogs. However, as unlikely as it may seem, a clean win for Roderick Strong in his triple-threat match against AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura would be a historic moment in his career.
We have seen Strong fight against all odds to achieve victories. At Survivor Series, he needs to reach deep down and fetch that competitive spirit to pick a monumental victory for his brand. Out of all the three champions, he is the one who will never be expected to outlast two legendary performers. That is exactly the accolade he he needs to solidify himself as a Superstar to watch out for.
Strong could allow Styles and Nakamura to engage in a brutal encounter. He can then wait for a sweet spot to get back into the match and take the advantage of the damage that’s already been sustained by both of his opponents.
#2 Sami Zayn costs Shinsuke Nakamura the match
For several months, we have seen Sami Zayn brilliantly portray the role of Shinsuke Nakamura’s manager and hype-man. He has been an important factor in several victories picked up the ‘King of Strong Style’ and is viewed as the strongest weapon in the latter’s arsenal. However, that narrative can shift course at Survivor Series.
We could see Zayn trying to pull off his routine acts of sly interference during the match. However, this time his maneuvers could backfire and end up putting Nakamura in harm’s way. Even if it’s an unintentional move, it might end up costing Nakamura a win in this match.
This will lay the foundation of the eventual falling out between Nakamura and Zayn. Although the latter has stated that he is content with his current role on the roster, he is expected to return to singles competition soon. Therefore, even if he ends up ‘accidentally’ betraying Nakamura, it would be enough to spark the fire and begin to tease a potential rivalry between the two Superstars.
#1 AJ Styles uses a low blow to win the match
AJ Styles has had an incredible run as a part of a heel faction in the last few months. He is the reigning United States Champion and has played a major role in representing the Red brand in the weeks leading up to Survivor Series.
Given his recent run, Styles does not appear to be someone who would shy away from relying on a low blow to turn the tides in his favor. He could end up attacking one of his opponents in order to force the official to attend to that Superstar. That would allow the United States Championto to gain a momentary advantage. Following that, the ‘Phenomenal One’ can capitalize immediately to pick a victory by simply outsmarting both Roderick Strong and Shinsuke Nakamura.
All three Superstars can deliver a fast-paced bout inside the squared circle. A well-executed, sneaky low blow could help put an exciting end to this match that is bound to witness countless creative spots. Moreover, it will help add more depth to Styles’ run as a heel and could allow him to gain momentum before he heads into his next challenge following the PPV.
