Kofi Kingston was able to create KofiMania a few years ago when he challenged for the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber. This year the former Champion has found his way into the match as a last-minute replacement for The Miz. This could be a catalyst to continue his feud with Mustafa Ali.
Back in 2019, Mustafa Ali suffered an injury ahead of Elimination Chamber and was then replaced by Kingston. This was the beginning of Kofi-Mania, which later led to the star becoming WWE Champion for the first time.
It would be quite the swerve if RETRIBUTION attacked Kofi Kingston ahead of the Elimination Chamber match tonight and Ali then took his place. This would allow Ali to claim back the opportunity he believes Kingston took from him two years ago. It would also continue the feud between the two men.
It's unlikely that Ali would go on to win the match. But having someone of his ability in there would add a different dynamic than Kingston's inclusion would have.
