5 Potential opponents for The Undertaker at WrestleMania 35

#1 AJ Styles

The Phenomenal One would be the best candidate to go up against The Phenom.

And finally, at No.1 we have none other than AJ Styles.

There isn't a more perfect opponent for The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 35 than Styles himself. The tag-line could be "The Phenom vs. The Phenomenal One" and it would be more than enough to generate tickets and create a marquee match for the event.

WWE has already shown that AJ Styles is one of the biggest stars on their rosters today, as we've seen with his long reign with the WWE Championship that lasted over 371 days, which is over a year. He is scheduled for a match against Daniel Bryan with the title on the line at the Royal Rumble, but it's unlikely that Styles will regain the title as Bryan has only just recently won it.

We have seen this match be rumoured for the last two Wrestlemania events, and there isn't anything to dispute the possibility of this match occurring.

AJ Styles has competed against Chris Jericho, Shane McMahon and Shinsuke Nakamura in his first three Wrestlemania matches- which shows that the machine has complete faith in Styles to put him in big bouts. He has also competed against Brock Lesnar in an inter-brand match at Survivor Series 2017.

But a potential match against The Undertaker would by far, be the biggest of them all. At the San Diego Comic Con 2018, AJ Styles was interviewed by Noelle Foley- as she asked him what his dream Wrestlemania match would be.

Styles responded with "Would I love to be in the ring with The Undertaker? To learn from this man would be unbelievable. Will it ever happen? I don't know. But yes, it would be a dream match for me."

The fact that Styles has already publicly stated that he would like to face The Undertaker at Wrestlemania triggers the idea of the two men facing even more.

We just don't know whether this is a match that The Undertaker would be interested in, but it's certainly a match that the WWE Universe are craving to see.
