5 potential WWE WrestleMania 37 matches for Rey Mysterio

The father and son tag team could make history by becoming tag team champions at WWE WrestleMania 37

Since Dominik Mysterio made his WWE in-ring debut at SummerSlam in 2020, fans have been desperate to see Dominik team with his father to become WWE Tag Team Champions.

Rey Mysterio has teamed up with his son Dominik Mysterio on several occasions in WWE on Monday Night RAW, Friday Night SmackDown and during several pay-per-view events. However, Rey and Dominik Mysterio are yet to compete for any tag team championships.

Perhaps the father and son tag team could achieve this goal at WrestleMania 37. As members of the SmackDown roster, it is likely that Rey and Dominik Mysterio would challenge for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

The current SmackDown Tag Team Champions are "The Dirty Dogz" Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. It would certainly be a nice change of pace to see a major tag team championship match and storyline be featured heading into WrestleMania once again.

Historically, WrestleMania has seen some of the biggest Tag Team Championship matches in history, including the Ladder Matches and Tables, Ladders and Chairs matches between The Dudley Boyz, The Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian in the early 2000s.

While a match between The Mysterios and The Dirty Dogz may be unable to equal the heights of those historic bouts, it would certainly be a worthy WrestleMania moment to see a father and son tag team become WWE tag team champions for the first time.
