#2 Hulk Hogan's four-year run as WWE Champion
When Hulk Hogan won the WWE Championship for the first time in his career from the Iron Sheik, he unleashed the first true wave of Hulkamania and that is exactly what the WWE rode on to become one of the top promotions in the world.
This created the foundations for the current stranglehold the company has on the world of professional wrestling.
While Bruno Sammartino's seven-year run lasted longer, it was Hogan's that was the more important and the one which holds more significance in terms of history.
When Hulk finally dropped the belt, it was over 1,400 days later to Andre the Giant on an episode of The Main Event.
