Throughout the years, several top gaijin stars have competed under the New Japan banner, including the likes Finn Balor, AJ Styles, Kenny Omega, Brock Lesnar, Adam Cole, Cody Rhodes and the legendary names such as Hulk Hogan, Vader, and Andre The Giant as well. The current NJPW roster, on the other hand, consists of several top foreign talents in the form of Will Ospreay, Jay White, Zack Sabre Jr., Juice Robinson, and Jeff Cobb.

Therefore, NJPW signing Dean Ambrose in the foreseeable future definitely shouldn't come in as a major surprise, as the former WWE World Champion will definitely fit right into the NJPW roster, their style of wrestling, and might just click perfectly with the audience as well.
With NJPW set to reveal their set of participants for the G1 29, maybe Ambrose could enter the tournament as a surprise name.
