Randy Orton faced Sheamus for the WWE Championship inside the Hell in a Cell structure at the 2010 edition of the pay-per-view.
At this time, Sheamus was still new in WWE's main roster but was quite convincing. He had already won several matches that put him in the main event scene. Orton tried to dominate most of the match, using the steel steps to get a near-fall early on.
Sheamus came back with an Irish Curse Backbreaker and avoided Orton's punk kick. He even hit Orton with two Brogue Kicks at different times in the match, but Orton survived both.
Orton was out to prove how brutal he was and put Sheamus through hell at different stages of the match, pushing him to his limit on various occasions. He then connected with the RKO on top of the steel steps to finally put Sheamus away for good.
He won the match and retained the WWE title once again, proving how good he was. The match was brutal, but by no means was it the most brutal of Randy Orton's matches inside the Hell in a Cell structure.
