The two men have had some memorable matches in the past

Before leaving the WWE in 2008, Bobby Lashley’s last PPV match was against then WWE Champion John Cena at the Great American Bash 2007. Both the men put on a great show which was ultimately won by the reigning WWE champion.

Bobby Lashley seems to be a perfect match for Cena’s talent, skill, strength and in-ring ability. Ergo, it would be great to see the two men at it again once Cena returns. His current presence as The Dominator puts him among the top three most powerful men on RAW along with Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre.

Lashley is certainly Universal Championship material and the fans would certainly be rooting for him to win the Championship. Putting him in a feud with Cena could prove to be the steps required to bring him into the title picture.
