#4. Paige and Alberto Del Rio

Paige and Alberto Del Rio had quite the whirlwind romance throughout 2016 before they announced their split following the WWE Draft in the summer of that year. Paige was upset that she was drafted over to Raw whilst her partner was sent to SmackDown. As you might imagine, this caused an emotional response.

There were reports that the couple's split stemmed from the fact that they were split in the WWE draft - and the rest of 2016 was filled with controversy for the two Superstars. Paige went on to be suspended for violating WWE's Wellness Policy. Just one week later, Del Rio was suspended for the same reason.

Del Rio was then released from the company in October. As if that wasn't enough, Paige was suspended for a second time later in the year. The former Divas Champion went on to have neck surgery and remained away from WWE for a long period. She would finally return as part of Absolution in November 2017.

Paige had quite a controversial few years in WWE, much of which took place after she announced her relationship with Del Rio publicly in May 2016.
