#2 Matt Hardy and Lita

As mentioned in the first slide, this list also includes WWE couples who were together in the past. One such couple was that of Matt Hardy and WWE Hall of Famer Lita. Before giving in to his Broken/Woken gimmick and their singles career, Matt and Jeff Hardy along with Lita were a part of Team Xtreme. During this time, Matt and Lita were in a relationship in real-life as well.

However, there was this controversial real-life cheating scandal as Lita began an affair with Edge, leading to WWE firing Matt for revealing it in his blog. When he finally came back to the company after a massive fan demand, he was put in a feud with the Rated-R Superstar. At that time, Lita was the on-screen manager of Edge as well and WWE used the real-life issues between the three of them as a storyline.

On an episode of Raw, Edge defeated Matt Hardy in a ladder match with Lita's help which led to Matt leaving RAW and ending the feud. This remains to be one of the most famous real-life relationships that WWE used in its storyline.
