Whether you love him or you hate him, nobody can deny that Jinder Mahal has been on a phenomenal run as of late. The former 3MB member started his slow rise to the top last year with a short run in a tag team alongside Rusev, before taking Mojo Rawley to the limit in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal in Orlando.
To have Randy RKO the life out of Jinder at Backlash would’ve been a grand injustice, if only because of how well the latter has been doing in his new role as of late. When you give these undervalued talents a chance to shine they’ll come through with the goods nine times out of ten, and Mahal deserves that WWE Championship.
