#2. AJ Styles needs to enter singles stardom again
It's no coincidence that AJ Styles' WWE run has been far better while he was on SmackDown than on RAW. He was essentially the face of the blue brand from the summer of 2016 until April 2019, when he was finally drafted to the Monday night show.
In that time, he enjoyed two WWE title reigns - one of which lasted a full year - making him one of only eight superstars to hold the WWE championship for a full calendar year (The others are Bruno Sammartino, Pedro Morales, Bob Backlund, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, John Cena, and CM Punk).
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
Styles' first WWE title reign lasted four months. This means that 16 out of the 32 months he spent on SmackDown was as the WWE Champion - half of the time. It speaks volumes of how dominant he was a singles star.
His 2019-2020 run on RAW underwhelmed, barring his epic WrestleMania cinematic match against The Undertaker - a bout that turned out to be The Deadman's farewell match for the company.
AJ Styles even had a fruitful run on SmackDown in 2020 where he was only there for a brief period but enjoyed a run as the Intercontinental Champion. Hopefully, Styles can finally enjoy a good singles run on RAW, even if he isn't the WWE Champion anytime soon (or ever again).
