#3 It will allow RAW to build another babyface
Paul Heyman taking the reigns of RAW (before being axed from his role as Executive Director as reported earlier today) resulted in a lot of positive changes taking place on the Red brand as he made creative decisions a lot better. This allowed the rise of Drew McIntyre, who’d been waiting for his chance to become a top Champion in WWE since his initial run with the company.
The creatives turned McIntyre babyface leading up to the Royal Rumble and allowed him to carry on that momentum into WrestleMania 36. It was Brock Lesnar’s ruthlessness that allowed McIntyre to get even more backing from the crowd during the time.
Similarly, Bobby Lashley is someone who can match up to a Superstar like Lesnar. Lashley has helped build some big stars in WWE during his initial run and he has had some good matches during his current run too.
Bobby Lashley could end up pushing a new WWE RAW Superstar
Lashley’s win at WWE Backlash could help him become a big threat on RAW and help the company build up some new contenders to become the babyfaces of the brand. While RAW has some big heels such as Lashley, Randy Orton, and Seth Rollins, they can groom new faces like Aleister Black and Ricochet to develop and take on Lashley for the title down the line.
