#4. WWE cannot afford to play 'hot potato' by having Bobby Lashley drop the WWE Championship
Bobby Lashley's win over The Miz meant that the latter's second reign as WWE Champion ended in just eight days. Having a promotion's main champion drop a world title within the course of a week is rarely acceptable and WWE cannot make a habit out of it.

Over the past year or so, Drew McIntyre was the focal point of Monday Night RAW and established himself as a dominant WWE Champion. During the pandemic era of WWE, The Scottish Psycopath proved his worth as the top guy of WWE and was awarded not one but with two WWE Championship reigns. McIntyre's runs as the WWE Champion not only elevated his position in the company but also took the title to an entirely new level.
WWE cannot afford to have all that build-up go to waste by playing "hot potato" with the WWE Championship. Having Bobby Lashley lose the WWE Champion so early into his first-ever reign would spell disaster for WWE and the WWE title itself. In order to keep the relevancy of the title in check, Lashley needs to walk into WrestleMania 37, or even beyond, as the WWE Champion.
