When it comes down to it, a title unification match at WrestleMania is simply a terrible idea, especially when you consider that we've been here before.

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns will undoubtedly be a high-stakes encounter. But does it need to have both of WWE's world titles on the line for it to feel big enough?

We have seen in the past how WWE often books itself into a corner by loading both world titles on one superstar. Becky Lynch, who won the RAW and Smackdown Women's Championships at WrestleMania 35, had to drop one of her titles in her first defense.

It was something that diminished the value of her WrestleMania moment. Moreover, having a single champion rule over RAW and Smackdown would lead to a lack of opportunities.

The main event scene will always be crowded with well-established names, preventing other talented midcarders from moving up the ranks.

#3. Brock Lesnar dethroning Bobby Lashley could lead to fan backlash

A significant portion of the WWE Universe was unhappy about The Beast Incarnate winning the Royal Rumble match just after dropping the WWE title earlier in the night. Fans wanted a new face to come out victorious to keep the road to WrestleMania unpredictable.

If Lesnar ends up winning the Elimination Chamber, that annoyance will likely be shared by Bobby Lashley fans. The title change will harken back to Goldberg dethroning Bray Wyatt as Universal Champion just a month before WrestleMania 36.

WWE could be on the receiving end of a lot of heat if they let Bobby Lashley's title reign end at the hands of The Beast. The decision might also lead to a decline in fan interest in the Reigns vs. Lesnar WrestleMania match.
