There's always the interesting idea that this could potentially all just be a swerve. Perhaps Cedric Alexander knew that MVP would continue to push for him to join The Hurt Business and that the only way for him to get the trio off his back was to join them.
Alexander can now infiltrate the group whilst feeding back to Ricochet and Apollo Crews, and then turn on The Hurt Business a few months down the line when he has learned everything that he needs to about them.
MVP and his group have already taken Apollo Crews' Championship and the trio could have decided that the best way to beat MVP is to join him and take him down from the inside.
It would be quite an interesting storyline and one that was done several times in WWE with The Wyatt Family. It would give Cedric Alexander the push that he deserves and allow him to join with his friends in a few months. It almost also guarantees that this current storyline could continue past Survivor Series.
