When you're the WWE Champion, you have a target on your back and Drew McIntyre is certainly aware of the fact with so many potential challengers on the WWE RAW brand. One man who lurks in the shadows and could be a source of great discomfort for Drew McIntyre is The Miz, who could engage in quite a rivalry with the WWE Champion.
There's a readymade storyline between Drew McIntyre and The Miz because the two men have been wrestling each other in singles and even handicap matches on the RAW brand. Sure, The Miz could have cashed-in on Randy Orton as well, but the dynamic of a heel cashing in on a babyface just somehow makes a lot more sense overall.
Is this an indication then that Randy Orton will not regain the WWE Championship until The Miz has either successfully or unsuccessfully cashed in his contract? Could you imagine The Miz as WWE Champion in the current RAW landscape?
