Drew McIntyre is often described as the most unfortunate titleholder in the history of the WWE Championship, especially if you consider the sheer amount of time and effort that has been spent on him already. Brock Lesnar does not put over too many people clean, but he did so at WrestleMania after a very hard-hitting match against Drew McIntyre. Unfortunately, there were no crowds in attendance to share in Drew McIntyre's delight as he won the WWE Championship.
Plus, there is the question of giving the fans something to cheer about, with Drew McIntyre's win, especially if you consider how the main event match ended.
So much time and effort have gone into making Drew McIntyre seem like a legitimate Champion, that it seems only fair to have him carry the WWE Championship for a very long time. Maybe Brock Lesnar returns to WWE and challenges Drew McIntyre someday, wanting to exact his revenge? Speaking of which...
