Bobby Lashley vs. Randy Orton would not have been the best idea. Even though both men are top-tier talents, they are both exceptional heels and the crowd would not have known whom to cheer for! Also, turning one of the two into a babyface when both are such great heels wouldn't have been a good idea.
This is why on the RAW after 'Mania, Randy Orton did not win the triple threat main event. He and Lashley can definitely battle each other down the line, hopefully when one of the two goes babyface. But at this point, they're better off as heels.
Where will Randy Orton goes from here, especially considering he's been locked in a feud with Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt since forever? Will he finally get to stretch his legs and potentially enter a feud without magic or tricks or black goo?
