#4 Injury Fears

Edge has found himself on the shelf in WWE on various occasions and, more than once, it's looked like he may never return again.
Alas, he always found a way to recover from whatever unfortunate injury found its way to him. In 2009 Edge walked away from the business for what was believed to be a career ending neck injury, but nearly a decade later The Rated R Superstar defied the odds and proved everyone wrong.

However, persistent injuries are a worrying sign for any WWE superstar. Not only do they increase the likelihood of a similar or the same injury occurring again, they also plant doubt in the minds of management and fans who only want what's best for the superstar.
In Edge's case, because of his history with neck injuries, if he were to find himself suffering an injury there's a very good chance he'd never get cleared to compete again. He even said it during his passionate promo the night after the Royal Rumble, he doesn't know how long his latest run with the company is going to last.
Edge's injury history carries with it substantial risk any time he steps foot into the ring. If WWE higher-ups want to put the Title on him one more time, it would make sense to do it sooner rather than later, before his body goes through more wear and tear.
