#3. Edge is simply better as a heel
Looking back at Edge's prime years, he always delivered better as a heel. Edge's WWE career had taken time to reach the highest level. But once he did, there was no turning back.
His first breakthrough was when he partnered with Christian, but that was his character's more comedic side. He enjoyed singles success, even challenging for the WWE Title. But it was only in 2005 that Edge took the first major step towards becoming a World Champion.
That was, of course, winning the first Money in the Bank briefcase. He cashed in on John Cena over half a year later to win the first of 11 World Championships. Through that time, he became WWE's most hated heel and spent years that way on both RAW and SmackDown.
While Edge had turned babyface well before his retirement in 2011, his prime came between 2005-09 as one of WWE's biggest and most despised heels. It's a role that simply suits Edge better.
