#2 One more main event run for John Cena
A 16-time world champion in WWE, John Cena has been the face of the company for a decade and a half. However, in the last few years, he has stepped back from the main event spot, giving the spotlight to the younger generation.
Cena's return tonight will lead to one more, and possibly the last, main event run for The Leader of Cenation. While the chances of him dethroning Roman Reigns to become the new Universal Champion are low, one can never bet against Big Match John. Could the company give him his record 17th world title victory at WWE SummerSlam 2021?

#1 To complete a set of dream matches
Truth be told, John Cena is in the twilight zone of his WWE career. Many even speculated his match against "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36 would be his last match for WWE. However, Cena is thankfully not done just yet and hopefully has a couple more years before he hangs his wrestling boots.
Following his Money in the Bank return, he cut a promo and claimed that this is not a one-off appearance for him. While it could simply mean that he'll be appearing on WWE programming until SummerSlam, it could also be a subtle way for Cena to state that he will have a few more feuds.
There are a set of dream matches lined up for John Cena in WWE which could become a reality following his return tonight. NXT Champion Karrion Kross has openly mentioned his desire to face John Cena in his last match. Other than that, he could have some great matches against the likes of Adam Cole, Riddle, Keith Lee and many others.
