#1: Mandy Rose's trade to WWE RAW could also act as a catalyst for Otis to become a more serious competitor
While this article has focused on how Mandy Rose moving to WWE RAW could be a good idea for The Golden Goddess herself, it is important to remember that this decision also affects Otis' future on WWE SmackDown at the same time.
There was a time when Otis and Mandy Rose's storyline stole the show on SmackDown each week. The success of this angle can be partially attributed to Andrea Listenberger, who was responsible for writing these segments in the first place. Unfortunately, she was released from the company along with several other personnel earlier this year.
That could be one of the main reasons why Otis and Mandy Rose weren't as frequently featured on SmackDown together in recent memory. Rose was subsequently traded to WWE RAW as a result, but WWE could simultaneously capitalize on an opportunity here.
As much as fans will miss seeing Otis and Mandy Rose together, it has become imperative that Otis' run as Mr MITB seems quite directionless. He still has plenty of time to cash-in, but the top title scene on both brands is stacked with names like Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre. The only way Otis could seriously have a chance of becoming a credible champion is if he transforms into a more serious competitor.
With Mandy Rose no longer on SmackDown, WWE can build Otis as a more determined star instead of focusing on his cheesy shenanigans every week.
