Sami Zayn’s current gimmick on WWE SmackDown has been fantastic. The Superstar won the WWE Intercontinental Championship at the 2019 Elimination Chamber in a Handicap Match. After a while, he disappeared from WWE television due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, WWE decided to hold another tournament for the title.

Zayn won the title back at the Clash of Champions 2020 and has built upon his Conspiracy Theorist gimmick ever since. Zayn believes that WWE is actively looking to take opportunities away from him, and the 2021 Elimination Chamber pay-per-view could allow him to build upon his gimmick even more.

Allowing Zayn to surprise the WWE Universe and win the Elimination Chamber match, thinking he’s won it all, would be perfect. Roman Reigns could then come out to scare and squash him, taking his big moment away from him in the process.

Zayn could then add more weight to his gimmick, claiming SmackDown and Reigns were in on the conspiracy against him. The entire angle could help WWE to build on a great story.
