The Rock recently announced that he will make an appearance on WWE RAW’s Netflix debut. The Final Boss is arguably the biggest name in the entertainment industry. He has a pull factor, not many stars can compete with, and his entrance will be electric, to say the least.

He last competed at WrestleMania 40, where he teamed up with Roman Reigns to defeat Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. A night later, he tried to help Reigns retain the Undisputed WWE Title but failed after The Undertaker took him out with a Chokeslam.

Take a look at the five reasons why The Rock is returning to WWE on RAW’s Netflix debut on Monday night.

#5. California has already had a great weekend

California is set to host the premiere of RAW on Netflix at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood. A night earlier, California hosted the Golden Globes 2025 Awards at the Hilton Beverly in Beverly Hills.

The Rock hosted this year’s Golden Globes Awards, which turned out to be a star-studded event. The Final Boss may have planned the two appearances together to keep his schedule tight.

He will remain in California and travel to Inglewood for RAW’s premiere on Netflix. His preannounced presence in the state would have given WWE a great chance of having him on the first episode of the brand in 2025.

#4. WWE RAW’s biggest episode will require as many big names as possible

WWE RAW will open to a whole new audience on the first Monday of 2025. Netflix will host the show’s debut on the streaming service with a lot of hope.

The Rock is one of the biggest names the industry has ever seen. He was active in the ring less than a year ago, and fans are hoping to see him get physical with a few more stars before retiring.

Arguably, the biggest episode of RAW of all time will require someone like The Final Boss to show up for a major segment. While many top active stars are already advertised for the show, adding The Rock to the mix will make it seem like an even bigger affair.

#3. Netflix would have personally asked for The Final Boss’ presence

The Tribal Combat is set to take place on RAW’s Netflix debut. The match will see Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa compete for the Ula Fala and the title of The Tribal Chief.

In 2024, The Rock had acknowledged Reigns as his Tribal Chief, and he could influence the outcome of the match on Monday night. That’s not all, as Netflix executives may have asked for his presence on the show.

It will be one of RAW’s most important shows of all time as the brand moves to Netflix. The streaming service would want to kick things off on the right foot and amass a great viewership. That may have led to their request to get a greater return on their $5 billion investment in WWE’s product.

#2. The Tribal Chief storyline may require The Rock’s addition

The title of The Tribal Chief belonged to Roman Reigns for nearly four years. Solo Sikoa took the accolade by force after Reigns lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.

The storyline between the two men has gone on for nearly half a year, but Roman Reigns has remained at the top in fans’ eyes. The only man who can legitimately challenge The OTC for the title is The Rock.

The Tribal Combat could see The Rock interfere to help one of the stars win. Alternatively, he could challenge the winner of the contest for the Ula Fala.

Thanks to Roman Reigns, the Tribal Chief title has become a big deal in WWE. It would make sense if Triple H and Netflix decide to stretch the story surrounding the Ula Fala in 2025 without putting any championships in the middle.

#1. The Rock’s WrestleMania 41 match could be booked on RAW’s Netflix debut

WrestleMania 41 will likely host some big matches that will shake the industry to its core. One match could see The Final Boss enter the squared circle in his trunks for the first time in a year.

The Bad Blood PLE saw The Rock appear in the show’s closing moments to send a message to Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. He could appear on RAW’s Netflix debut to further his rivalry with one of the two stars.

He could appear to challenge The OTC for the Ula Fala or to a match to determine who the head of the table is. On the other hand, he could challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at The Show of Shows.
