It's no secret that some of in The WWE Universe aren't big fans of Vince McMahon and that's exactly the way he wants it. Believe it or not, the company has used this fact to their advantage on a number of occasions and it almost never seems to fail to bring fans blood to a boil. It's almost like they know what strings to pull.

Think about it! Once Vince McMahon outright says or is even rumored to have said something negatively about a Superstar, the fanbase responds with support. They start to shape that superstar in more of an underdog framing and demand that the company gives them the chance they deserve.

Whether that be Daniel Bryan, Becky Lynch, or Finn Balor, the fans have always taken the bait and rallied behind that superstar. That's why McMahon is such a powerful figure in today's WWE. His approval or even his disapproval means something and is very helpful in shaping storylines.
