Back in May, WWE announced that a new title was going to be added to the mix. Soon after, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley unveiled the title on an episode of Monday Night Raw, to a terrible response.
The bland design of the 24/7 title didn't impress the live crowd one bit, and the response was embarrassingly mild. Somehow, in a matter of weeks, WWE managed to turn the title into the hottest act in the company, with R-Truth becoming the WWE Universe's favorite current champion. Truth won a poll on the WWE website, garnering 27% of the votes and defeating the likes of Kofi Kingston, Seth Rollins, and Becky Lynch. Reportedly, Vince McMahon is very happy with the 24/7 title and the storyline associated with it. Here are the 5 biggest reasons why Vince is pleased with the title.

#5 Mid-carders coming up with exciting angles for themselves
In a recent interview with Yahoo! Sports, R-Truth opened up on the 24/7 title angles, and who comes up with the stories. Truth revealed that unlike what happens with other major titles in WWE, most of the stories regarding the 24/7 title are being pitched by wrestlers themselves, most notably Jinder Mahal, Drake Maverick, and EC3.
Guys like Drake Maverick, Jinder Mahal, EC3, these guys came up with their own gimmick with regard to the title. Drake Maverick came up with the poster idea on his own, he took that leap. The company takes notice of that. When the opportunity is there, you have to let your creative juices start flowing and reach and grab for it.
No wonder Vince is happy with the angle, as these mid-carders have come up with a bunch of hilarious ideas until this point, and would continue to do so in the near future.
#4 WWE's Youtube channel getting tons of traffic
If you take a look at the 24/7 title videos on WWE's Youtube channel, you would be surprised to see that these clips get the highest number of views on most occasions, and trump videos featuring the likes of Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch, and other top Superstars.

These videos have bagged tons of social media coverage for WWE, and is also giving the company some much-needed mainstream attention, like when the title almost changed hands recently at Comic-Con.
Videos featuring R-Truth and Drake Maverick have been consistently getting millions of views on a weekly basis, and why wouldn't they?
When the title is being defended at the weirdest of venues, like a golf course, or an airport, the viewer is bound to click the video to watch it. More the traffic, better it is for WWE's social media presence, and Vince couldn't be more happy about it.
#3 Drake Maverick going that extra mile
Over the course of the past several years, we have seen a bunch of Superstars pitching ideas for themselves. Sometimes, WWE accepts the pitches, while they are rejected on other occasions. Drake Maverick, who had won the title by tricking Truth at a parking lot, reportedly pitched the idea for the title change at his wedding of all places!
WWE accepted the same and the video instantly became a huge hit on social media. Earlier, Maverick had gotten incredibly creative with his social media posts concerning his quest to win the title. Mr. McMahon is reportedly very happy with Maverick and likes the fact that "he is no a complainer".
When a Superstar goes to these lengths to get over, the company notices it at some point and rewards him with more TV time. After all of his social media efforts, Maverick deserves every bit of the push he has been getting at the moment.
#2 Rating spike during the 24/7 title segments
In this age of social media, ratings have taken a huge hit and WWE's premier shows Raw and SmackDown have suffered the brunt of the same. Amidst declining ratings on a weekly basis, how refreshing it must have been for Vince McMahon to see that meter go up during the 24/7 title segments?

Reportedly, this is exactly what has happened. A big reason why Vince McMahon is very happy with this storyline is the fact that he has been noticing a surge in ratings whenever these hilarious segments air on TV. WWE gets minute-by-minute data from Nielsen Media Research, and the 24/7 Championship segments have been consistently getting good viewership.
Hopefully, this trend keeps getting better in the coming months, and we get to see more of the crazy stuff WWE does with the belt.
#1 R-Truth almost single-handedly carrying the division
It's true that Superstars like Drake Maverick have contributed towards the 24/7 title becoming a big hit, but one can't discount the fact that R-Truth has been carrying the division since day one. At this point, Truth has been involved in all the major title changes in the belt's history. He is currently a 9-time WWE 24/7 champion and has been the cornerstone of this storyline.

There is a reason why Truth became the WWE Universe's favorite champion on the current roster. Truth has been wowing the fans with his comedy acts since a long while, and the 24/7 title is the exact thing that he needed to get more over with the fans.
Truth's misadventures with the title have resulted in WWE garnering millions of views, good ratings, and positive fan reception, and he seems to be the biggest reason why Vince McMahon is pleased with the 24/7 storyline.
