#3. Batista wants to end his WWE career on his own terms
This is a lot more important than many people realize. Especially given the experience that Batista has with WWE and how there was disappointment in his last run, it's completely understandable that he wants to dictate the terms and conditions of his final run with WWE.

He wants it to go right, and he wants to go out on his own terms. This way, there'll be much lesser frustration on both ends, a lot more satisfaction for him, and he'll be able to leave the company on good terms.
Is it a surprise that Batista returned as a heel? Not really. He's been very vocal about the fact that he thinks he was a terrible babyface in his prime (we disagree). He's always enjoyed being a heel more and feels at comfort in the role. So far, it's all going on his terms.
