#2 Balor was not in his Demon avatar
![Somewhere deep down, we all knew that unless the Demon showed up, things would be difficult!](https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/0beb3-15486531908554-800.jpg?w=190 190w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/0beb3-15486531908554-800.jpg?w=720 720w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/0beb3-15486531908554-800.jpg?w=640 640w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/0beb3-15486531908554-800.jpg?w=1045 1045w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/0beb3-15486531908554-800.jpg?w=1200 1200w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/0beb3-15486531908554-800.jpg?w=1460 1460w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/0beb3-15486531908554-800.jpg?w=1600 1600w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/01/0beb3-15486531908554-800.jpg 1920w)
Finn Balor was asked if 'the Demon' would show up to take Brock Lesnar on at the Royal Rumble. He said the following to TV Insider:
I feel like maybe I leaned on 'The Demon' a little much in the past with regards to heavily relying on and hiding behind the paint. This is David vs. Goliath, and David was a man. Finn Bálor is a man. And Finn Bálor is going to walk in to face the Beast.
Balor does not measure up to a freak of a man like Lesnar and to be honest, there are very few superstars that do.
For it to be an even contest, Balor had to tap into a dark part of his persona and unleash the demon within. He did not and the result was what it was!
