The Fiend is the hottest thing in WWE right now, and perhaps he is even more protected than Brock Lesnar. When he won the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel, the fans were all over the moon. With that booking, WWE made up for the mistake they made at Hell in a Cell's main event.

However, the fans weren't so happy when WWE announced that The Fiend wouldn’t be facing Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series this year in a champion vs champion match. Instead, Rey Mysterio will take on Lesnar in a singles match for the WWE Championship.

The most likely reason for this is that the company wants to protect both The Fiend and Lesnar, as they can’t afford to lose at Survivor Series against one another. Also, WWE wouldn’t want to upset the fans once again with a bad finish at the pay-per-view.
