#4 The event was already controversial

WWE already faced many problems after the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the hands of Saudi agents. The company was already under a lot of pressure from fans and politicians to cancel the event.
A majority of American fans criticized the company for continuing with the event, but the company made a tough decision to stick to their plans.
Cena and Bryan refused to work at the event, and therefore, they have replaced them with Bobby Lashley and Samoa Joe.
This event was already a controversial, and now that Lesnar has won the Universal Championship, there is going to be more controversy. Strowman's victory would not have put the controversy to rest, but it would have given another topic to the WWE Universe to talk about.
Therefore, it could have been much better if Strowman would have won the Universal Championship.
