Goldberg vs. Lesnar is a draw and there are no arguments raised against this. But what this match exposes is the lack of WWE’s ability to build up new stars. Throughout the PG Era, WWE has been using such short term medicines rather than trying to build up new generation superstars.

They brought in Shane McMahon last year, Sting before that and the list goes on growing.

Goldberg would merely be an addition to this as the booking would have no long-term impact on the product. It will cause a sudden spike in the rating at best, but that’s about it. In short, this is just a short-term relief for WWE’s falling ratings.
