5 Reasons WWE wants Brock Lesnar to defeat Braun Strowman at the Royal Rumble

#1 Lesnar is a bigger draw heading into WrestleMania 35

Admit it. Brock Lesnar makes a much better champion heading into WrestleMania 35!

As much as Braun Strowman winning The Universal championship at The Royal Rumble would be a positive shift forward for WWE, it might come at the expense of both Strowman's career and WrestleMania 35 itself!! Beyond that, it could ultimately leave WWE without a major box office draw in the title picture, which could also be a problem

Now, this doesn't mean there wouldn't be benefits to Braun Strowman winning The Universal title at The Royal Rumble, which includes shaking up the title picture and crowning a first-time champion, but the negatives still outweigh all of that.

It also doesn't seem like WWE is willing to back Strowman in such a high profile role, which is another reason why it just won't happen.

In the end, WWE has made a lot of crazy decisions over the course of their existence, but putting the title on Braun Strowman might be the most bizarre of them all. It also wouldn't be a good look for Lesnar either and might really work to devalue his stock in the company.
