You're probably reading this and going... When did this happen? Nothing has been announced. This is fantasy booking at this point. But in WWE, anything can happen.

During the attitude era, Chyna was the first-ever women's Intercontinental Champion. It was something ludicrous and amazing all at the same time. Now in a time where Inter-gender wrestling has become more frequent, Chyna was already crashing glass ceilings.

She has already cemented her legacy and maybe it's time for another female WWE Superstar to do the same. Recently, Charlotte Flair won the SmackDown women's championship on WWE SmackDown live. It's still unclear whether her title is also on the line at WrestleMania 35.

Let's assume that it is and that Becky Lynch would become the first's WWE Women's Undisputed Champion. She would unify the WWE Raw Women's Championship and WWE SmackDown Women's Championship and thus possibly, appear on both brands.

Where does that leave Charlotte? For that matter, where does that leave the rest of the WWE Women's division? The only option would be the creation of a new mid-card title for the women's division. If the men can have multiple, why can't the women?

With the creation of the new WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, the possibilities are endless. So, here are 5 reasons why Charlotte Flair will be the first WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion.

#5 Creating more opportunities for the WWE Women's Division

The women's evolution has truly taken place. The WWE roster has some of the most talented female wrestlers in the history of the company. The matches are amazing and they have proven time and again, that they're as good as the men.

With more women being added to the division, it makes sense that WWE needs to create more titles. There's a reason why WWE has had multiple mid-card titles over the years and that is to give opportunities wherever possible.

Without a title, it's hard to see why these women wrestlers would go against each other. Adding a Women's Intercontinental Championship would provide that right mix and Charlotte Flair is the right person to start it off.

#4 The Prestige of The Intercontinental Championship

WWE Legends have held the IC Title

The Intercontinental Championship was easily one of the most sought after titles, right after the WWE Championship. It was a stepping stone to greatness and to some extent it still is. WWE Legends like Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Chris Jericho, Edge, and others have held the IC Championship.

Even the great Ric Flair, later into his career held it for a spell. Perhaps, the daughter becomes the father and vice-versa. Like a good WWE storyline, perhaps a WWE champion is daring to follow in his or her father's footsteps.

Charlotte Flair has been a 9-time title holder if you count the WWE Divas Championship and the NXT Women's Championship to go along with her current title reign. Adding more mid-card titles to her highly successful WWE career would just be the icing on the cake.

#3 The Flair Legacy

Ric Flair is considered the greatest wrestler of all time. He has held world championships in the NWA, WCW, and WWE. He's a WWE legend and no one can ever take that away from him. Like Hulk Hogan, he defines wrestling royalty. Moreover, The Nature Boy has left a legacy that very few could fill until now.

Charlotte Flair is easily one of the best female athletes in the company. Her WWE feud with Becky Lynch is right up with there with some of the best. Her matches at WrestleMania have also been fantastic to watch.

Putting her as the first women's IC champion would set the gold standard for all the other female wrestlers in the locker room. Just as Chris Jericho has been remembered as one of the best IC champions, The Queen could do the same for the women's Intercontinental Championship.

#2 The Four Horsewomen

Speaking of WWE Legacy, The Four Horsemen was the greatest stables in the history of professional wrestling. One of the mainstays of WCW, it could be argued that DX and the NWO were not even close to the legacy of the four horsemen.

With Becky Lynch possibly becoming the first-ever WWE women's undisputed champion and Sasha Banks and Bayley becoming the women's tag team champions, it doesn't make sense to leave the odd woman out with no gold.

Moreover, assuming that the brand split comes to an end in WWE, The Four Horsewomen could be amongst the likes of DX, NWO, Evolution, etc, and take all the goal for themselves. It becomes even more crucial to have a strong title around the waist of Charlotte Flair.

If The Man is HHH from Evolution, The Queen would be her Ric Flair. Or whatever way the WWE Universe sees it.

#1 Setting The Stage for WrestleMania 36

A WWE Feud for the ages

Think back to the great rivalries. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. The Rock and Steve Austin. HHH and Shawn Michaels. They were friends-enemies-friends...You get the picture. If Stone Cold Steve Austin could main event WrestleMania twice in a row, why not Becky Lynch?

A good barometer would be the Ultimate Warrior vs Hulk Hogan. Both titles were on the line at WrestleMania 6. The warrior emerged victoriously and the rest is WWE History. Could events repeat itself? To quote Battlestar Galactica, "What has happened before will happen again."

Assuming Becky Lynch unifies the titles at WrestleMania 35, she could return the favor to Charlotte at WrestleMania 36. How could this happen? We'll leave all of that to WWE creative.

It may seem like a pipedream but Charlotte Flair as the Intercontinental Champion going into WrestleMania 36 against The Man for the Undisputed Championship. Both titles on the line. What better way to headline the show of shows in 2020? Only time will tell.
