#1 The evolution and reinvention of his character

Jericho has remained relevant and prosperous for almost 30 years due to his ability to both alter his character and make sure it is relevant to the current trends in society. When he was initially starting out, he used his mic work and charisma to become a star. His ring work also backed that up.
Once he moved to the WWE, he continued his fabulous mic work. He did, however, remain relatively the same in terms of how he portrayed a heel and how he portrayed a face. He was in his prime during the 2000s and early 2010s but had memorable battles with everyone in his path.

When he would go on brief hiatuses from the company, he would always return with a slight tweak. One time, he returned as a bigger star due to Fozzy garnering mainstream success in the metal world. During his last run in WWE, he maintained the arrogant artist aura, complete with his signature light-up jacket and scarves as parts of his wardrobe. It went along with his "List" run alongside Owens.
As a member of both NJPW and AEW, he's reinvented himself once again as the foreign-born invader to NJPW who doesn't respect NJPW or its wrestlers. His costumes during his feuds there were reminiscent of A Clockwork Orange but represented Jericho changing up his look for a different promotion. He's continued the "I'm better than everyone here" mindset in AEW and has constantly said that he's better than everyone, including the fans. He even said that he was "AEW" after beating Kenny Omega at Double or Nothing.
It's impressive for someone to reinvent themselves that many times and to do it well. Some stars have remained relatively the same for most of their careers. Jericho has decided not to do so and it has led him to success everywhere he has gone.
