#4 Fans want him back
It is not just AEW and Tony Khan that want him – it is the fans, too. CM Punk’s journey from being one of the most hated heels (during his feud with then fan favorite Jeff Hardy) to becoming one of the most loved faces in the company is nothing but inspirational.
There was always an aura with Punk. The most difficult – and important – thing for any Superstar is to connect with the fans naturally. This is a gift that very few people have.
And Punk is one of them.
When he is a babyface, he is cheered (2006 Survivor Series) and when he is the bad guy, he is incessantly booed. The ease with which he controls the crowd makes him a huge asset, which is why fans want him back and continue chanting his name in the arenas even now.
Just imagine the pop he would get if he comes to AEW.
