#3 Great financial package
Tony Khan is a billionaire and, as a result, has the ability to pay a lot of money to wrestlers who are signed to AEW. In the case of Jon Moxley, AEW have confirmed that they have signed him in a multi-year deal.
Indeed, Tony Khan was ecstatic with the acquisition, saying:
“There was no better way to conclude an evening of new beginnings than with the introduction of the best free agent wrestler in the world. The chaotic scene that unfolded in the closing moments of Double or Nothing was emblematic of the unpredictability and explosiveness that Jon Moxley will bring to AEW. We’re very proud that Jon has signed a multi-year contract, and he is officially on the All Elite Wrestling roster!”
It had earlier been reported that the former member of the Shield was offered $6 million-a-year by AEW and it seems like he has taken it.
In the case of Punk, Tony Khan won’t leave any stones unturned and would provide him with the best financial package and while money might not be Punk’s biggest priority, it certainly is an important factor.
