Now think back to Rusev Day and just how popular he was back when everyone in the audience was chanting his name. And yet, WWE did not go all the way with him because they just saw him at a certain level as a WWE Superstar.
I'm sure that the love and adulation that the WWE Universe has showered on Kofi Kingston will result in something big. But I really do not see them putting the WWE Championship on him, because they see him as a superstar in a certain role.

Do I personally think that Kofi Kingston would make a great WWE Champion? I certainly do and he certainly has the charisma and the in-ring skills to become the guy on SmackDown Live.
If you disagree with me, why do you think it's taken them so long to put him in the main event?
