#2 Because he's going to become a full-time wrestler
Long-time fans of Drake Maverick will know that the British Superstar had quite a career before joining WWE last year.
Maverick is probably best known for his career in Impact Wrestling as Rockstar Spud, where he served primarily in a managerial role for NXT's EC3, before becoming a fully-fledged wrestling member on the roster.

Even before Impact, Maverick wrestled on the indies and is quite a solid hand in the ring.
This win could be just the start of Maverick's transitioning into a bigger role as a wrestler in WWE, as though he had matches, he has spent the majority of the past two years as the General Manager of 205 Live, or as the manager of the Authors of Pain.
Having Maverick with the title could help both the WWE and the British Superstar reveal just how talented he is as a wrestler.
This could all lead to Maverick becoming a more regular competitor on RAW and SmackDown Live and who knows? Maybe Maverick could be adding some other titles to his collection in the years to come.
