#3 To distract fans from the fact that Brock Lesnar won't be wrestling at TLC

The WWE's TLC PPV is presently scheduled to air from the SAP Center in San Jose, California on December 16th. Now, although I'm a huge WWE loyalist, I've got to confess that the TLC PPV isn't even remotely close to being a well-booked card!
The Royal Rumble PPV (January 27th, 2019) which will be the next pay-per-view presentation after TLC, is the one that's all-important, and will feature some of the biggest storylines and angles coming to some sort of conclusion while new ones begin. In addition to the TLC PPV not featuring too many high-profile angles, the WWE RAW brand's top champion Brock Lesnar won't be performing at the show.

Well, the WWE had to come up with something intriguing for the ongoing Braun Strowman vs . Baron Corbin rivalry for the TLC PPV, and with the absence of Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, booking a shocking attack angle where Corbin gains the upper hand on Strowman was the WWE's best choice as we approach the final WWE pay-per-view of the 2018 calendar year...
