#3 Finn Balor can help make NXT feel less "minor league"

A good sized percentage of fans might feel that NXT is the best brand amongst the four brands currently offered by WWE, and with the Black and Gold Brand moving to two hours on USA Network, that fan opinion might be truer than ever.
Despite high quality consistency from NXT every week, others have weaponized NXT's existence as a "developmental brand" for WWE.
WWE, however, has countered any notion that NXT might be "less than" by injecting the show with a shot of star power in Finn Balor, with the hope that Balor's presence might help elevate the show in terms of mainstream audience appeal.
Balor is one of the most respected and successful Superstars in the history of the brand, so it was a very wise move on the part of WWE to shift Balor to NXT in order to show fans the Black and Yellow Brand is well on its way to becoming the new "A" show in WWE, and becoming less of a "developmental" program.
