Should WWE decide to announce Goldberg vs Dolph Ziggler for SummerSlam, there will only be two shows, next week's RAW and SmackDown Live, to build the match. Considering the bout will have very little build aside from a few shots fired by Ziggler in recent weeks, the match between Ziggler and Goldberg will likely be kept very brief.

Additionally, Dolph Ziggler has no clear direction in WWE right now, and has been losing every big match in which he has competed since returning to WWE TV. Ziggler was brought in as a replacement for Kevin Owens at Super ShowDown, and has not feuded with Kofi Kingston since, then he moved on to a brief feud with Owens who defeated Ziggler in just 16 seconds at Extreme Rules.

With Dolph Ziggler possibly feuding with The Miz after WWE SummerSlam next week, it's possible WWE will book Ziggler vs Goldberg to be a quick squash in order for Ziggler to move on to his next loss.
